Thanks for your feedback, John. Exposure X2 is flexible, so you can use it in many different workflow configurations including what you described. One thing to note is that Exposure's catalog free workflow is faster for many users. But the only way to know how much is to try it yourself.

To be honest, stick with the editing features not the archive process-this video is way too confusing. Most shooters havetime and equity invested in Lightroom.
Photoshop is the place to edit raw files and most professionals start there after importing a batch of raw files- then X2 or other add on software... that's my workflow

In reply to <a href="https://exposure.software/blog/2016/image-browsing-exposure-x/#comment-67278">Arturo</a>.

Hi Arturo!

Exposure X can't open images that are saved inside of the iPhoto Library folder. You'll need to copy the images from that location. Unfortunately Exposure X can't read Apple's metadata or adjustments so you will need to either reedit them in Exposure or export them as edited files.

In the Finder, navigate to your iPhoto or Aperture package file. By default, it's located in /Users/[user name]/Pictures, and it's called "iPhoto Library" or "Aperture Library".

Control-click the iPhoto Library or Aperture Library file and choose Show Package Contents.

A Finder window opens displaying the contents of the package file. The Masters folder contains all of the photos that are in iPhoto or Aperture.

Control-click the Masters folder and choose Duplicate.

Drag the folder named "Masters copy" from the iPhoto Library Finder window to your desktop or Pictures folder.

Exposure X can see this folder.

Then all you need to do is open Exposure X and add the Masters copy folder.

Hi Jimmy I saw your video several times trying to realize how to drag my images from the hidden Fotos Library to the Exposure X Folder panel and did not found the answer. All the images downloaded to iPhoto and Fotos are organized inside the Pictures Folder and then Fotos Library and then Masters or Originals. It is no possible to drag them from there to de EX Folder Panel or try to open them using the Exposure X option with the right click. I'm getting crazy...
