Hi Jason. Thanks for commenting. In Exposure X7 you can move the crop and transform layer below the border layer. That will fix the issue you are having so the border you use will fit to the cropped image.

If I crop a photo, then try add a border, the border acts as if I have not cropped the photo and applies to the uncropped image, so it does not fit the new crop. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

Thanks for the comments, Michael. I see how that could be a benefit to your workflow with Photo Mechanic. I'll make some notes about your suggestions in the developers logs.

Nice that X7 can read the crop from Photomechanic. But it is a pity that crops changed in X7 will have no change in Photomechanic. Same behavior for ratings and keywords. So a wish: Please change from 'first time read xmp' to 'every time read and every time write xmp' to make it full compatible with Photomechanic. I really like it, Shadow and Highlight controls working fine for me, but this behavior with xmp is blocking my workflow.

Thanks for the comment, José. I see what you mean with regard to viewing two images rather than one large preview and a grid. That's not something we have on our list for Exposure X7, but I'll make sure the design team hears about your interest in that feature.

hello good afternoon, I'm in love with Exposure x6, I've been with version 4 , and a detail that could work for the next version would be for those who work with two monitors one on top of the other, when you're working on one screen you only have the reference of the grid images and not the 2 images in the main view, what I and many people would like would be to work normally on a monitor and the second also shows the image being worked on, 2 large images

Thanks for your comments, Hans. We always love to hear when people like our software. With regard to the Shadow and Highlight controls, what do you mean by 'fixed'? I'm happy to bring your feedback directly to the development team. Are the sliders not strong enough when you make changes? Do they not do what you expect?

First of all I must say that I really like Exposure x6,, But cannot understand why all these new features without first fixing the Shadow and Highlight recovery sliders?? and how they work, or am I the only one who has this problem.? Its a really nice program But for that. Sorry guys, but just test it alongside any other program.

That's a good suggestion, Piero. We've heard a few requests for auto-transform functionality before, so it's definitely on our radar. I'll make sure to let the development team know about your interest in that feature.

So still no auto transform capability? Definitely looking for automation to help with the simple 90% of scenarios.
