Alien Skin’s award-winning, non-destructive RAW editor is about to get even better. The Advanced Layers Update to Exposure X2 will be available soon, and adds a number of new features. Quick Export is one, and helps make Exposure the fastest way to bring your vision to life.
If you often save multiple variants of an image, this new feature will save you a lot of time. You can now export different image recipes simultaneously. Save variants for web, publishing, and more, each with different settings and to different folders. Exposure’s quick export profiles give you recipes for common social media and portfolio exports.
Check out the short video below for more info about this new feature.
Finley, Will your layers have blending functions such as Multiply? Also will the new update, have keywords and a search on keywords function?
Thanks,
Hi Donna,
No, Exposure layers do not have blending modes, yet.
Keywording is not yet supported in Exposure X2. It’s on the list for a future version. In the current version, you can filter by metadata, which allows you to search terms in the copyright, name, email, and address fields.
Thanks Jimmy. Looking forward to the new additions.
This is wonderful. Is there any chance you guys can work with Serif Software? Affinity Photo’s PS plugin support is there, but does not yet work with all plugins. If X2 could work seamlessly with Affinity Photo, we could easily drop Lightroom and Photoshop for good.
Yes and no.
Yes, Exposure X2 can launch Affinity Photo as an external editor. So if you use Exposure as the centerpiece of your workflow, you can drop the other two programs you mentioned.
No, Affinity Photo does not support Exposure as a plug-in, which unfortunately isn’t something we can fix on our side. That’s an Affinity Photo plug-in support issue.
When will the advanced Layers Update to Exposure X2 be available? I hate to buy and then have an update come out immediately and I have to pay for an upgrade.
Hi Beverly,
The Exposure X2 Advanced Layers Update has already been released, so it’s available now. Learn more about the update.
