Hi,
I have switched computers and have not be able to locate the sw that I had purchased.
Please let me know how I can reload the previous software purchased.
I just sent your license code and download links to you. We’re happy to help if you need anything else – just reply to that support ticket and let us know.
I really like the new option of being able to drag the lighting effect to a specific location. It will give it just that much more precision. :)
Thanks for the comment, Sandra! We think this will really improve the usefulness of light effect overlays.
looking forward to this release!! this is exactly why I was creating my own light effects because X3 was not flexible enough for me – thank you guys!!
We can’t wait to get the moveable light effects to you, Gloria! We’re working hard to finish up Exposure X4. Hopefully we’ll have a release date soon.
Very cool about the rotate feature is there now! Absolutely excited for that
I’m thinking that it is about time that I upgrade my exposure 7…
Quick question: can you rotate a light effect on the z axis? Specifically for the light rays to make them look more natural by distorting the angle rather than rotating it.
Exposure’s light effects work by compositing a light effect graphic onto the image. In X4, you’ll be able to rotate and position the graphic however you’d like. But there’s no z-axis control.
It’s something we’d consider adding. Are you interested in 3D rendered lighting? Or just in skewing the graphic to distort the light rays?
Hi Jimmy, looking forward to the updates. Will X4 be made available to loyal X3 purchased uses?
cheers, Nick
People who purchased Exposure X3 on or after July 1 2018 will receive free upgrades. Other X3 purchasers are eligible to purchase at the discounted upgrade rate of $99.
I’m so excited about the light relocation feature, that’s EXACTLY what I was missing! I’m looking forward to the new release. Keeping my fingers crossed that the developers add some new light effects too ❤️.
When we can expect it? So so so excited!
That’s great to hear, Bianca! We are excited for the new version, too. We haven’t announced date a for the Exposure X4 release, but keep an eye on our mailing list and/or social media channels for an announcement about it.
Thanks Jimmy! Can’t wait ?
WOW I have been hoping and waiting for a movable light effects. I am a scifi/outer space artist and this is one function I have wanted to use more but haven’t because you can’t position it where you want. I use Exposure 3 on almost a daily basis. I look forward to Exposure 4. Thanks
Glad to hear it, Ali. We think you’ll like what’s coming in Exposure X4.
Hi I just downloaded the trial for Exposure 4, and the alignment button to move the light effects around isn’t showing up?
Hi Matthew – Make sure that you have one of Exposure’s movable overlays selected. Those are the light effect options that have a hand icon on them. After you have one selected, set the Alignment option to Move Freely. That should make the Move/Rotate control appear.
Hey Exposure team,
I’ve been trying out X4 since yesterday and I’m impressed with the changes. I do however have a question related to what I’m looking forward to. I see you are stepping towards tether capture and thats great however what I still see in missing is the ability to copy from last like you can do in say capture one. This is an integral part of tethering. Being able to adjust for example an images exposure setting and for that to be added to each subsequent image that is placed in the hot folder. I do welcome being able to add a preset but this wouldn’t be enough for me to use this as my go to studio capture software. If this could be improved/implemented then I’d be on board because I love the other many great aspects of X4. Thanks for your help guys, let me know what you think.
Thanks for commenting, Kim. You can do that using Exposure’s monitored folders. Check out this video to see how it works. When you’re shooting tethered with Exposure, you can make various editing adjustments to an image and save them as a preset. Then you can update the folder monitor options and have Exposure automatically apply the preset to the following photos as you shoot.
I thought of another feature that could help in this scenario. The Paste Settings from Previous option. You can simply paste the settings from your previous image with the / key.
