It’s an exciting time to be an Exposure user. When Exposure X6 arrives, your workflow will be faster than ever. The upcoming version is going through a major overhaul under the hood to bring your post-processing to a whole new level. We made this video to show you what that means.
Exposure X6 achieves new levels of processing speed with GPU acceleration. This uses the full power of your computer hardware. Editing adjustments to exposure or contrast are as much as three times faster using a typical GPU. Multiple graphics cards can be used for additional power, even a mixture from different manufacturers.
The release will arrive soon. Stay tuned to our blog and social channels for more news about Exposure X6.
It’s the perfect time to purchase Exposure if you don’t own it already. Anyone who purchased Exposure X5 on or after July 15, 2020 will automatically receive a free upgrade to Exposure X6.
When the exposer X6 arrived can you pleas a message thx
Best regards
Firquet Bob
You are on our email list, so we will send you a note as soon as it is available.
Hurry with X6!!!!!!
:-) We’re excited, too!
Hello, does it support the new Canon CR3 files ??
Thanks for commenting. Yes, the Canon EOS-R uses CR3 files. It’s a supported camera model.
Exposure X6 es compatible con los archivos de Hasselblad XID II ?
Hi Antonio,
We’re not sure of the exact timeline for that camera. We’re waiting support from a third-party supplier. Once they have added support we’ll test and get it out in a point update.
Until direct support is added, one option is to use Adobe DNG Convertor or other software to convert to DNG.
How much will the upgrade be??
Thanks for commenting, Desmond. The upgrade price for Exposure is $89.
I can’t wait X5 was excellent wonder about the speed and new tools of X6
Please let me know when
Regards, Roeland van Duijsen
Thanks, Roeland. We are excited, too. We will email you directly when Exposure X6 is ready. You are on our email list already.
Does X6 have a liquify tool and an auto button for basic tone? Thanks
Thanks for your interest in Exposure X6. Yes, there are automatic options for basic edits. Liquify is on our list, but it’s not going to make it into this release. I’ll add a note about your interest in our logs.
If I upgrade to X5 now will you be giving a free upgrade to X6 soon?
Yes, if you purchase Exposure X5 now, you will get the upgrade to Exposure X6 when it is released.
I have Exposure 4.5. When X6 comes out how much will the upgrade cost me?
Thanks for commenting, Bob. The upgrade price for Exposure is $89.
to be honest i find the upgrade price a big steep for your product.
when i was a pro photographer i would upgrade every version and write it of tax.
but as an enthusiast i have to skip versions.
Thanks for commenting, Peter. If your current workflow works for your needs, you don’t have to upgrade to every version. I encourage you to check out the trial when Exposure X6 becomes available. You might discover that the new version is worth the investment.
I’m looking for a new RAW solution to consolidate my actual two converters into one tool.
Exposure X5 looks nice, but I will make my final decision based on v6
Any idea about the release date of v6?
Thanks for commenting, Chris. We haven’t released a date for when Exposure X6 will be available, but we will make the announcements here on the blog when we do.
Weitere Neuigkeiten finden Sie hier.
Will video clips finally be given any treatment, or even recognition. More specifically, thumbnail views. playback, setting a poster frame, basic trimming, etc.
Thanks for your interest, Jerry. Expanding Exposure’s abilities to also process video files is something that’s on our radar, but it’s not going to make this release. I will add a few notes to our developer logs about your interest in that feature set.
That’s unfortunate to hear. I asked the same question last year when X5 was announced prior to release and the answer was more or less similar. I take it that video which is very much a part of modern camera systems in this digital era, will continue to be ignored as non-media. I currently resort to ACDSee, or DigiKam (open source and free) to be able to manage and organize video clips as media assets along with photos.
I understand Exposure and a plethora of other applications are oriented towards photo editing, but to ignore audio and video media assets just is not right. I am not suggesting a full-fledged video NLE to be incorporated into Exposure. Minimally, if Exposure is to support management and organizational functionality, there should minimally be some basic support functions. Thumbnails instead of a iconic place holder which indicates nothing other then that it is not a photo. Or, to be able to assign a poster frame to provide some indication of the content. Basic keyword, tagging, comments as EXIF or IPTC data for searchability. Alas, I will need to continue resorting to other resources that will offer full media organization support. Thanks for the reply consideration.
Thanks Jerry. I want you to know that you’re being heard and that we are taking your suggestions into consideration. Exposure is heading in that direction. Video files need a substantial amount of processing power to work with, so the GPU acceleration in Exposure X6 makes something like video rendering possible. So we’re closer than we’ve ever been to making it possible.
At least showing a thumbnail where the video files are would be a big help!
We’ll make note of that. Thanks for the suggestion.
I would also like to add a comment about video files. I am a new ‘trial’ user of Exposure 6 and its really quite an amazing piece of software. My only hesitation in buying the software is the handling of video files. For my use, I dont need any editing capabiltiies, I just want the ability to preview the file in the Exposure app and maybe tag it and be able to delete them. That’s all. Like the other comment, I have to use ACDSEE now for that capability but their editing tools are nowhere near as powerful as Exposure. Just cant seem to find the perfect app for some degree of DAM and good editing tools and the ability to recognize video files.
Hi Tom. Thanks for the comments. We have this on our radar already, but we’ll make sure the development team hears about your interest in supporting video files.
